This woodland Newtown CT cake smash was one of my favorites! It was so great to see Bruno and his mom again. We had created an outdoor composite photo for his newborn session so it wasn’t a surprise that his cake smash was going to be a woodland theme.

Mom had a vision in her head and I’m so glad I was able to help her capture it. She ordered a backdrop from one of my favorite vendors R2 Backdrops. Mom had gotten a lantern, campfire, and fake trees. I had a couple trees from my holiday sessions that were perfect to add in. As usual, the amazing cake is from Who Wants Cake. She outdid herself on this one!
Bruno was ready to dive right into the cake.
We did make sure to get some photos of Bruno with the adorable set up before it was time to make a mess!
But obviously the cake is the fun part! I had so many images to share that I had to make a collage or else this would be a never ending blog post!

Sessions take place at my residential studio in Newtown, CT. Everything is set up prior to your arrival and the mess stays with me! Cake smash sessions are custom designed based on your colors and theme. There are two different session types to choose from. One is just a simple cake smash, and the other is more elaborate and also has two different backdrops.
It is best to book your session at least 4 weeks in advance for planning purposes. However, if it’s less time than that, don’t worry, reach out and we’ll see what we can do. I am often able to squeeze in extra sessions.
