Heather Kelly Photography is so excited to introduce CT Dog Photography sessions! Bringing her love of photography and dogs (well all pets!) together. It only made sense to add pet photography to our offerings. Heather’s studio is located in Newtown, CT. While it’s been mainly used for a newborn studio, we are working to make some changes to make it more pet friendly.
Our goal is to have your pet feel comfortable in the studio environment and be able be relaxed while having a fun time.
Heather has a variety of fun background colors that she’ll be continuing to add to for her CT dog photography portrait sessions. If you have any requests, be sure to let her know! Here’s a list of some of the colors we have so far. Pink. Yellow. Blue. Orange. Purple. Gray. White. Black. Cream. In the near future we will be adding red, and green. We also will be adding more shades of blues! I am so excited for the future and meeting your fur babies!
CT Dog Photography | Mini Sessions!
For a limited time we are offering mini sessions! Each month has a different featured color. If these are well received we will be continuing with them and offering more.
Heather has been training her own dog, Kawi (a cattle dog/beagle mix) for over two years through The Exceptional Pet. They have taken nearly every class that is offered with enthusiasm. Heather also volunteers her time to take photographs for The Exceptional Sidekick. Please check out the amazing service they are providing to our local teens and young adults struggling with their brain health.
In 2023, Heather became a puppy raiser for The Exceptional Sidekick, training Exceptional Sidekick Apollo. Check him out in instagram! When Apollo isn’t with Heather, he is at Sacred Heart University where I college student works on his training for college credits.

Grow with me Pet Photography
Grow with me sessions are perfect for those with new puppies. Capture all the cuteness through the first year! Dogs grow so quickly, it’s often hard to remember them as puppies. Let’s freeze that time! Here is Apollo at 3, 6, and 9 months. Can’t wait to photograph his 1 year portraits!
Legacy Sessions
Legacy sessions, also known as end of life sessions, will be coming soon. These portrait sessions take place in your home. It is a place where your dog feels safe, and you have all your memories with them. We play and go to all their favorite places.
