We decided to get ice cream yesterday after dinner. We drive by one of my favorite locations here in Newtown so I asked my husband if we could stop so I could get an updated picture of the kids together. I try not to do posed photos of them too often as they usually don’t like it. They are my toughest clients. They have what us photographers call, “photographer child syndrome” also known as PCS. I think I’m also going to make a new one PHS. Photographer husband syndrome. Sometimes I think it’s the husband who like it less! We weren’t doing a full session. I just wanted ONE quick image of them. It was impromptu, so I hadn’t even planned out outfits. I grabbed a plain shirt for the boys without a logo on it and a shirt for my little that wasn’t covered in dinner.
Are you worried your children are going to run all over the place?
Are you worried your children are going to misbehave?
Are you worried your children will look anywhere but the camera?
Don’t worry. I’ve seen it all! My kids do all of the above and then some. Here are some outtakes for example:
My two year old wasn’t interested in cooperating. So I decided to take some pictures of the boys together. Nope – she wasn’t having that either. Went right over laughing and photobombing.
So we tried to include her again. She was laughing hysterically as she was pushing her brother.
Here is when my oldest was fed up with it, “uggggh not again Piper.”
Despite the chaos, I did get the images I wanted.
My little girl enjoying the flowers.
My boys being sweet with each other. Usually they fight. A lot. But they have their good moment too.
And the image I was really wanting 🙂 My 3 loves.
So as you can see, there is no need to worry! If you are looking for a family photography session in Newtown or surrounding areas, use the contact tab above for availability and more information.
