Dominic was 6 1/2 weeks when he came to my studio for his Danbury newborn portraits. He was past the “typical” age that I photograph newborns. I knew there my might be less of the sleepy newborn poses, and more of the awake poses. However, I was confident that I would be able to capture many great images for his parents to treasure.
Danbury Newborn Portraits: Dominic
Hello there bright eyes! One of the things I love about photographing “older” newborns is the eye contact. At 6 1/2 weeks, Dominic had amazing eye contact, and even gave me a little smirk. Look at those amazing eyelashes!
Sleepy baby boy
I always tell parents that they will fall asleep eventually. Some babies might take longer than others, but their awake cycles are so short during this time. Let me tell you, Dominic was one of my fastest newborn sessions! I might need to change my suggested age range. Give me all the older newborns! He was awake and gave me amazing eye contact in the beginning of the session, then he fell asleep and let me pose him.
Tiny Baby Details
I have cracked out my macro lens again at my past several sessions and found a new love for it. I just love capturing the little details of a new baby’s hands and toes.
Future Bronco?
Mom had brought this Bronco jersey for Dominic to wear at his session. He was awake again and just stared at me with those beautiful brown eyes of his!
CT Newborn Photographer
I have learned with photographing Dominic, that it is not too late to get newborn portraits taken if your baby is past two weeks. I’d love to work with you and capture your little one whether they are 1 week or 1 month.
