FAQ
When should I book a session? It is recommended to book during your 2nd or 3rd trimester of pregnancy, but if your baby has already arrived, we will do our best to fit you in.
When do you photograph newborns? The ideal age for a newborn session is 6 – 16 days new. Newborns are still very sleepy those first couple of weeks, helping us achieve those curled up sleepy poses you see on our website.
My baby is already 2 weeks old. Can I still do a newborn session? Absolutely! While the first couple of weeks are recommended, Heather has experience with “older” newborns and has photographed newborn style images up to 7 weeks.
How long does the session take? Newborn sessions generally take 3 hours at our studio in Newtown, CT. The session can go over or under 3 hours, although they generally don’t last more than 4 hours.
Can we take sibling and/or family photos? Absolutely! Sibling and family photos are able to be taken during your newborn session. Siblings are typically photographed at the beginning of the session. It is recommended that dad or another caregiver brings the sibling(s) home or to do another activity after their part is over.
