Newborn sessions during a pandemic
It certainly is different photographing a studio session during a pandemic. I had spent the previous months reading up on everything the CDC and State of Connecticut recommended for businesses. I was closed down for a couple months, and then spent another month prepping my studio.
My open storage changed to closed storage where everything is sealed up. The bathroom soap dispenser was swapped out for a touchless soap dispenser, and the bathroom hand towel was swapped out for disposal towels.
As far as safety goes, I wear a mask, and apron over my clothes. Hands and arms are washed thoroughly. Clients are required to wear a mask (under two exempt). Temperatures are checked upon arrival, no shoe policy and hand sanitizer readily available.

The recommended time to book your newborn photo session is during your pregnancy. I take a limited number of sessions a month so pre-booking will guarantee availability. Now booking 2024 due dates! Sessions take place 6 – 16 days after birth so it is best to book early and get penciled in. The actual date of the session will be scheduled once your little one arrives.
While the studio is all set up, you can relax while your precious baby is taken care of. I will change diapers, soothe your baby to sleep while I gently pose them.
