A few posts back (on Sarah’s maternity post) I mentioned that I volunteer my time doing service dog photography sessions for The Exceptional Sidekick Service Dogs. I realized that I could only find a couple of the adorable puppy sessions on my blog. So today I am here to correct that.
This organization and these puppies mean so much to me. I hope to one day be a puppy raiser, but until my family is ready for that, I get to help out by photographing them.
Service Dog Photography | Piper
This post is going to have a few different sessions in them. First we’ll start with adorable Piper. She has the same name as my daughter and is just as cute as can be! Piper came in for a “newborn” puppy photography session. I’ve done a few of those. Some harder than others.

Baron | A Special Service Dog
This next service dog I photographed, unfortunately has a sad story. I photographed him as a puppy with his brother and sister. Shortly before he was to be placed with a family, he was diagnosed with cancer and died shortly after. You can see the article here in the Newtown Bee.

The Hamilton Crew
As I mentioned, some pups are easier than others. There was actually 6 in this group, all named after Hamilton.

Two Cute Service Dogs in Training
Although these two cuties made me work hard for not much of an outcome LOL.

Service Dogs | Back to School
This was my most recent session for the service dogs in training. Since it was the end of August, and these pups are being trained as psychiatric service dogs that help teens and adolescents in school, what better than to do the photo shoot in a school!

The Most Special Service Dog Photography
I have to end this post with my most favorite image ever. This also happened to be beginners luck as I call it. Was never able to replicate this amount of puppies sleeping together since.
